# 19 Discovering web 2.0 tools
I enjoyed this session and looked at 3 different sites. Firstly I looked at Biblio.com a book search and market site for out of print and rare books. I thought it would be useful for finding that special book you have lost and would like to find again. Unfortunatley, I couldn't remember enough detail on some of the books I wanted to see if were still around, good success with others. The second site I visited was Yelp, but this was american and while I had a quick look around, didn't have a lot of relevence to me. Thirdly, I looked at One Sentence, I loved this site, is of little use but it made me laugh and if you wanted to, it could probably make you cry. It has links to more on each sentence. I have included the address here as I think many would enjoy it and may find unexpected uses for it.

# 16 Wiki's
I liked this "thing" as it answered questions I had about Wikis clearly and unambiguously. Wikis are one of the 'things' that I had more experience with than most of the other 'things', so was able to understand better - I think.
I think there may be an application for a Wiki in our library and so I will be exploring how to set up a wiki in the (near?) future.

#15 On Library 2.0 & Web 2.0
Much food for thought. Probably liked best 'a temporary place in time' was easy to understand the concepts, 'away from icebergs' made me reflect that we must be sure not to leave our very traditional patrons behind as we embrace 2.0 and changes that seem inevitable. Nothing will replace curling up on the couch by the fire with a good book for me.

#14 Technorati
I found this one of the easier exercises and could have spent much time just looking and exploring - though that is true of every exercise so far. It was also good as I had to instal some software to be able to play the Technorati tour, and normally I am a bit hesitant and not confident to do this but I just went with it and was happy with the result. (I hope). The technorati home page I saw looked different from the one in the Technorati tour but was soon able to go wherever I wanted. Helen Blowers blog, Library bytes, was interesting and I liked the graph of how many blogs have mentioned Library 2.0 lately. It was also interesting to see how may Libraries are doing Learning 2.0 all over the place. I particularly liked the blogs, pictures, tags and videos that come with each search. I did a couple of other searches and was happy with the results.

I must confess I was abit at sea with this and then it clicked and I really enjoyed it, until I tried to link to my search roll and I don't think I have done it properly and Idid the optional exercise and my rollyo thing went to the bottom of my blog first but I re-did it and now have it where I want it!

# 11 Library Thing
Time is the thing, I could have spent much longer at Library Thing. Although as a cataloguer, I am glad I have access to Libraries Australia!! My collection at home is very random, and as such it was challenging to find hits for them. This site is very user friendly and I look forward to visiting it again.
