#9 Finding Feeds

I found this exercise okay, the challenge for me was remembering where I had put everything and finding it again. This I did do successfully! Next I am going to put an RSS feed for Ebsco ANZ Reference Centre on my bloglines account, as we do use these data bases in our library.

#8 RSS and newsreader

I found this quite difficult to start with - very very frustrating!!! However once the initial problem was solved it was good fun and I look forward to utilising this in the future.

#7 Technology
Huge advances in technology have occurred in our lifetimes especially in computers and related technology. I remember doing computers in Maths in year 10 or form 4 as it was then. We had to make cards that ran what ever you wished to do on the computer which was so big that it took up whole walls. I guess the invention of the microchip was a major leap forward. To day I find email very convenient for communication especially as Secretary of organisations, I can email reports, agendas, minutes etc. and of course for day to day communication. The word processing programs have changed how we do things, and I now think better when sitting at a key board than I do when writing long hand. The other thing I really like is my USB memory stick.

#6 flickr - More flickr Fun!!!!!!!!

Yes, well I have now experienced 'more flickr fun'. I accessed 'Bighugelabs' through FD Toys and created a badge. It is a fun badge my husband had better find amusing. I have now had enough of Learning 2.0 for today!

Flickr-3

Yes! I have posted this picture at last!!!

This is my dog Dexter, and on my third attempt to post a picture I have succeeded. I will attempt to find out why my other pictures did not work. Dexter is 11 years old and began life as an RSPCA puppy. We have had him since he was about 3 months old, and while clearly not a farm dog, did his best impersonation of one while we were dairying.

It had taken me a long time to complete Week 3 - flickr. I spent much time looking around the site.

I am now hoping to upload a picture of the Great Dividing Range taken a few kilometres outside Dargo. The bush was quite spectacular as it recovered from the bushfires of 2007. We were able to see many more rock formations than normal as all the undergrowth had been burnt. Unfortunately many signs had also been burnt which made it more difficult to find some of the sites we wanted to check out.

My second visit

This is my second visit to my blog! As I have visited other participants blogs I am very impressed with what you have created. I am just having a play around before I proceed on. Green is my favourite colour.
